The Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign is pivotal in Astar Network's strategy to incentivize and reward active participation within the Astar and Soneium ecosystems. While the majority of ACS allocations are directed through TVL-based and discretionary-based models, a distinct portion is reserved for miscellaneous allocations. This category addresses unique contributions and strategic initiatives that do not align strictly with the primary allocation methods.
Breakdown of ACS Allocations
The total ACS supply is 1 billion tokens, distributed as follows:
- TVL-Based Allocation (70%): Rewards distributed based on Total Value Locked, encouraging liquidity provision and active participation.
- Discretionary Allocation (26.5%): Targeted towards specific ecosystem growth areas:
- Consumer & Gaming Applications (15%): Promotes the integration of ASTR in web3 gaming and consumer platforms.
- DeFi Applications (11.5%): Supports DeFi protocols, broadening participation beyond TVL metrics.
- Miscellaneous Allocation (3.5%): Dedicated to special initiatives, including ecosystem campaigns and community engagement efforts.
- Astar Surge (2.5%): Rewards users who participated in Astar Surge and bridged liquidity to Soneium.
- SoneFi Meme Spark Contest (0.5%): Encourages community creativity through a meme contest by SoneFi, aiming to boost Soneium's TVL and foster a meme-driven economy.
- Astar Expansion NFTs (0.5%): A flexible reserve to address community support.
Astar Surge: A Strategic Miscellaneous Allocation
A notable example of the miscellaneous allocation's impact is the Astar Surge campaign. Launched on December 18, 2024, this pre-deposit initiative aimed to accelerate ecosystem growth by allowing ASTR token holders to lock their tokens into pre-deposit contracts on Astar's Layer 1 network.
The campaign was led by five key projects building on Soneium: Sake Finance, Yay!, Untitled Bank, SoneX, and Kyo Finance. Participants earned points redeemable for tokens from dApps during their TGEs, effectively incentivizing early adoption and liquidity provision.
The ACS for eligible Astar Surge participants will be distributed in Season 5.

SoneFi Meme Spark Contest: Adding ASTR Utility in the Meme Economy
The SoneFi Meme Spark Contest, allocated 0.5% ACS, introduces a new utility for ASTR while boosting Soneium’s TVL. By locking ASTR in meme liquidity pools, the contest reduces sell pressure and fosters a sustainable meme economy.
Key mechanics include:
- ASTR as a Bonding Curve Token – Creating a Meme/ASTR liquidity pair.
- Buying Memes with ASTR – Users can trade memes using ASTR.
- Market Cap Milestone – Meme/ASTR pairs transfer to SoneFi swap upon reaching a set value.
- 100-Year Liquidity Lock – Ensuring long-term stability for Meme/ASTR liquidity.
This community-driven initiative showcases Astar’s healthy governance and strengthens ASTR’s role in web3. A more concrete plan will drop next week.
Astar Expansion: Soneium Commemorative NFTs
As part of the Soneium Conquest campaign, Astar Network introduced the Astar Expansion: Soneium Commemorative NFTs to engage the community and celebrate this collaborative effort.
The campaign offered two editions:
- Genesis Edition: Unlimited and free to mint with a limit of one per wallet.
- Premium Edition: Rare and limited, with 300 NFTs available daily. These were also free to mint, limited to one per wallet.
These NFTs serve as digital memorabilia, symbolizing participants' involvement in this foundational phase of the entertainment layer ecosystem. ACS will be distributed in Season 5, and it will be visible on the ACS dashboard.
